The Georgia Republican Party leadership continues to lose credibility

The Georgia Republican leadership continues to lose credibility ...

Although the Georgia Republican Party is still in denial, the truth continues to come out piece by piece. When the whole story is told, Samuel Francis is going to look like a genius and the workers in the Georgia Republican party will be the real losers.

Thousands of dedicated Republican workers spent years being a minor party in Georgia, but working year after year to make slow but steady gains. Suddenly under the misguided direction of former governor Roy Barnes they were handed their dream on a platter. In just one election, they went from being a second rate party to the party in power. The 2004 elections were a watershed, the unbeatable got beat, the unelectable got elected and the Republican Party leaped ahead by years.

With new found power at their finger tips, the Republicans faced a challenge. Could they maintain the principles that caused people to vote for them - or - would they succumb to the same temptations that the Democrats always fell victim to.

A majority of the elected Republicans in the House and Senate have tried to stick with the principles. The Republican leadership apparently did not even try. The results should be apparent. There have been two special elections since the Session, in both the Republican candidate was favored. Perdue and his staff threw their support into these two campaigns and worked for the Republican candidate - in both races they lost.

In the second one I personally campaigned for the Republican candidate, and I can tell you that the name of the Republican Party has been severely damaged by the Republican leadership. The majority of you - elected Republicans need to give this some thought. You know about the hanky panky, you know about the behind closed doors deals, you know about the agreement with the Atlanta Chamber, the politically correct and the Black Caucus. You know about the campaign contributions. You know that thousands of hard working campaign volunteers are being insulted. You know all of this, but you remain silent?

"Oh, it is time to just move on ... "

This is the song and dance presented by the Democrats every time they rammed political correctness down the people's throats - is this really the message you want to send?

It was interesting to read such comments in the Chattanooga paper, less than a week after one of their favored candidates went down to defeat. You are making Samuel Francis look awfully smart!

"Oh, it is time to just move on ... "

Well read this  - Republicans, "Eat My Grits!"

Note: the opinion of the Editor of the Georgia Political Underground, is just that, MY opinion alone, and does not necessarily reflect the opinion any of the supporters of the 1956 Georgia state flag, or any Heritage organizations. Its just that, my opinion alone.

Editors note: I have received many emails of late, by GOP legislators, worried that these efforts may result in Mark Taylor taking the Governors mansion in 06. Let me explain a few things:

This fight is NO longer about the flag, this fight is about having been LIED to about the flag. And to answer these GOP legislators question, NO, it is NOT revenge that the flaggers want, it is the reckoning.

As nauseating as the thought may be, yes I can stomach 4 years of Mark Taylor, but the question is, can YOU?

More deception by the AJC exposed

The flaggers have had enough of the AJC reporter Jim Galloway and his lies and deception, and quite frankly his very biased reporting. I was once told, you can't fight those that by their ink by the barrels. Well, Mr. Galloway is now considered no different than any other lying scalawag politician. Which means he is now subject to the same treatment that Robert Moultrie got in front of his home tonight. Now, what is the name of that street Mr. Galloway lives on? I believe it starts with a W, and is in Cobb County?

Recently the Atlanta Journal Constitution, also known as the unofficial spokesman for the politically correct did it again. They once again let their politically correct agenda confuse their grey matter challenged upper extremities and predict the demise of the People of Georgia:

Below is a letter JIm Galloway published in the November 26th edition of his insider column. Read the letter, then find the truth at the bottom.

by Jim Galloway:

But a growing number of Confederates may be weary of the whole thing. We submit for your Thanksgiving reading a letter from Gould B. Hagler of Atlanta, a past commander of John B. Gordon Camp No. 46 of the Georgia division of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. It is dated Nov. 10 and recently came into our possession:  Editors note: Yeah, I bet it was carried over from the capitol to the AJC's offcies

"To my friends and compatriots in the John B. Gordon Camp No. 46:

"At the October meeting I raised questions about our practice of pledging allegiance to the 1956 flag, which, by act of our elected General Assembly, is no longer Georgia's state flag. The responses to my remarks indicated that some of you saw merit in my arguments. Others clearly disagreed with me.

"At our camp meetings we pledge allegiance to the United States flag. 'Allegiance' is a powerful word, one which I take very seriously. We do not pledge allegiance to our forebears' beloved Confederacy or its flag. We salute the Confederate flag. A 'salute' is a formal gesture of respect, a gesture of which the Confederacy is worth, but a gesture which shows no disrespect to our United States or its flag. Pledging allegiance is another matter. I will pledge allegiance only to two entities and their flags: the United States and the state of Georgia.

"[The current commander] has represented our camp very capably at the division level. He reported to us in October on the division's plans to seek legislation to put the 1956 flag to a vote.

"I believe that these efforts are unwise and doomed to failure. I will take no part in them. I myself am very pleased with the flag adopted in the 2003 session of the General Assembly. The flag is attractive. It was adopted through a democratic process by the people we elect to write our laws. It is closely patterned after the first national flag of the Confederate States of America. Others may not be satisfied, but I am. Furthermore, I think my great-great-grandfather Barrett and my great-great-grandfather Cowan would be, too.

"I am in the minority, certainly in the Georgia division and perhaps in this camp. [The current commander] does not want our camp to act in any way that could undermine the division's efforts. I respect his wishes and will say and do nothing beyond this written statement.

"I have chosen to put these views in writing. I do not want to raise a contentious issue in the presence of guests, especially our guest speaker. I do not intend to speak at tonight's meeting or at any future meeting unless someone else chooses to raise the issue for camp discussion.

"However, I want you all to know that the 2003 flag is the flag of my state. Unless and until another banner is duly adopted as the state flag, this is the only state flag to which I will pledge my allegiance.

"Most sincerely,

Gould B. Hagler"

Imagine that! The Atlanta Journal Constitution printing a letter from the Sons of Confederate Veterans. But of course it is a special handpicked letter. In fact one that just happened to come into their possession?

Imagine that! Out of 4,000 SCV members Jim Galloway just happens to get a letter that favors the new secret flag created by Perdue. Wonder if it was delivered to the governors office and then whisked over to the AJC like the Iraqi flag gate pictures? If I was a Republican that had worked for years to achieve a two party system in Georgia, I would be very concerned about the AJC becoming so buddy buddy with Perdue. Since Perdue and the Republican leadership sold out the People.............

Republicans have lost both special elections!

Georgia Political Underground responds:

You would think from reading this letter, that some average run of the mill member of the Sons of Confederate veterans loves and endorses the Perdue flag. LMAO! (which stands for Laughing my @ss off.)

Let me first tell you who Gould Hagler is.

He is a paid lobbyist working down at the state capitol. OOOOPs, did a light bulb just go off over your head?

He works for a organization that supports Perdue.

Gould Hagler admits to having had several conversations with "Governor" Perdue the past few months.

NOW, who Gould Hagler is NOT!

He is not now, nor has he ever been a flagger. He has never attended one flagging of any politician. He has never nailed up one BOOT BARNES or SONNY LIED signs, and has never participated in any of the flaggers events, never put out 1 of the 100,000 anti scalawag leaflets, or placed any of the 1000 Project wave poles. Hell, I never even heard of the man before Galloway published this letter. In other words, Gould Hagler has done nothing in this movement.

As far as I'm concerned, his opinion on the current state of the flag fight, has no more meaning or significance than the drunk I saw sleeping under the 10th street bridge viaduct on my way home from work tonight.

The deception here is that Jim Galloway is leading you on to believing that the flaggers are growing weary and that one of their own in a high leadership position supports the Perdue rag. Again, LMAO. It goes to show you how easy it is to fool someone.

For this deception, Jim Galloway deserves to be "flagged" right in front of his Wyntuck Circle home! And he may very well be given a social call soon enough.

Lets see if Perdue can get one of the Coleman brothers, Dan, Joel, Elijah, or any officers in the Chattahoochee Guards SCV camp, or the Georgia Division SCV commander Jack Bridwell, or Mike Crane of the Southern Party, or a 1000 others that I know that have been heavily involved in this movement from the beginning, or pray tell the editor of this news letter to come out in support of the Perdue flag. Lets see that happen, then I will admit you have something. But this is just more smoke and mirrors, just like the Iraqi flag gate pictures. I guess this is how Jim Galloway gets his invites to go with Perdue to Japan.

Jim Galloway gets flagged, and will be placed on the flaggers public schedule. Just like all the lying politicians, Jim Galloway will now be held accountable. Lets see how Galloway likes that. Put that in your "crack" pipe and smoke it Mr. Jim Galloway. Nuff Said!

1/4 of a million SONNY LIED signs to be placed? (can this be possible?)

The people that do not exist get more signs that do not exist!

Word on the streets has it that the flaggers have come into some additional funding, and are now planning to erect not 100,000 SONNY LIED signs, but a quarter of a million? Can this be possible? They say yes. Even if the GOP is successful in stopping the return of Lazarus, and on the morning after Perdue calls some hokey news conference declaring the issue settled, (didn't ex Governor Barnes once say that?) the 1/4 of a million SONNY LIED signs will still go up. That's right, 250,000 of them. Anybody seen any yet? I see them all over the Major interstates. My hats to you on that. Devastating!

Other scuttlebutt amongst flaggers talking is that some are suggesting dropping ALL campaigns against ALL democrats. That's right, the flaggers may very well allow the democratic party to retake the senate, keep their house lead, and take the Governors mansion, as "the reckoning" for Perdue and the GOP leadership selling out on the flag. Stomach 4 years of Mark Taylor, and try again in 2010. Some flaggers say that is a possible long term strategy.

Democrats 1/ Perdue 0
As you all have probably learned by now,  Republican Kurt Cannon was defeated by Charles Jenkins in the run off for the open House seat in District 8 by 598 votes.

While it is early to make observations without complete vote breakdowns and study, one fact is very obvious.

There was definitely  resentment by some that Perdue campaigned in the district for Cannon.  Zell campaigned for Jenkins.  Jenkins lost in Zell's home county, so that didn't seem to help Jenkins much. So why did Cannon lose?

We now know how this affected the vote.

Turnout was only about 8,000, which means the Republicans didn't get their voters out in the numbers needed.

The Democrats (Jenkins) put on a full court press, with money  (Coleman and Porter campaign donation violations) and a "get out the vote". Jenkins name recognition helped him since his brother had served several terms in Congress.

The Republican party consultants virtually downplayed all help offered from the Heritage folks.  Republican Cannon later told me the Republican party reneged on the total of the money they gave him in the run off,  only partial,  and as of three days before the run off had reneged again.

It looks to me like the Democrats wanted this race more than the Republicans, in spite of what might be said.  The democrats circled the wagons of the defeated run off candidates and got them back out to vote for Jenkins.  They got their vote out.  Perdue has egg on his face.  This is a race the Republicans should have won. The Republicans needed this seat.  Now they must double up to catch up.

Perdue fumbled the ball. Democrats 1/ Perdue 0

But hey, maybe Perdue can convince Jenkins to switch party's. It seems it much easier for Perdue to do that to gain the majority rather than to actually win the seats outright.

Coverage of Chuck Clay flagging

Tonight's (December 2nd) flagging of Chuck Clay took place at the home of millionaire playboy Robert Moultrie. Mr. Moultrie is obviously no more than a hanger oner. He use to host party's for Roy Barnes, and now recently has done one for Perdue. This flagging took place directly in front of his home, and was a huge embarrassment to Chuck Clay. They had less that 16 people show up by the time we left. But Im sure we will read in the morning paper that several hundred Clay supporters turned out. The floggers arrived on the scene around 5 PM, before Robert, (I own the facilities group) Moultrie arrived home. He then stops in the street to inform the floggers if any of them stepped on his precious grass he would have them arrested. Call the cops, and Shut up please we begged him. Later he comes back out and tells us he is glad we are there. That's another LMAO! That's what they all say, yeah right. The Cobb County Sheriff shows up a short time later, was very gracious, and proved that 1st amendment rights can be conducted in peaceful and civil and non harassing manner. Around 7PM, we got tired and bored, and left. The only politician we saw was Earl Erhart. Ginger Collins, Charlie Tanksley, and even Chuck Clay was a no show, AT HIS OWN FUNDRAISER. Darn cell phones! *smile* Much fun had by all, SEE PHOTOS!

Some of the 20+ flaggers lined up down the side of the street in front of Robert Moultrie's home. Take a long look Jim Galloway. Beautiful ladies, and young children, but gosh darn it, conspicuous by his absence, no Gould Hagler. I guess he was just to weary to show up.

This is how much any flag means to Mr. Robert Moultrie. What a disgrace!  He also needs to have his house painted. Note he is currently flying the GOP's flag of republican supremacy. Like I say, he is a hanger oner. He use to fly Blue Butt wiper, he may have to again soon, along with Gould Hagler.

Mr. Robert (I owns the facilities group) Moultrie. Do you know what he said to me after asking if he could take my picture? He said, "why didn't yall come last October when Sonny was here." My answer was, we wanted too, but couldn't find the address of your secret location, but flagger intelligence came thru this time, and we have it now.

GAME OVER at your place Bob!

Georgia Republicans lose credibility

Rumors:

Rumor has it, that the Cobb Democratic party may be moving their monthly meeting to a new location. Could it be the cobb dems are abandoning José's heights, for less friendly flagging territories?

Editor,

Do you realize that you are probably one of the most hated persons in the state? The GOP would be wise to figure out a way to shut you up or shut you down. The democratic party would probably cheer that as well.

Mr, Is this a threat?

This Sir is nothing more than a battle of wills. We shall see who wins in the long run. It may take all the way to 2006, but Perdue will keep his promise, or he will be a 1 termer, Guaranteed. Eventually the GOP strategists will figure this out. Right now there to pre occupied with worrying about the return of LAZARUS. But in the mean time, the SONNY LIED signs keep going up. Supposedly, 2000 more arrive next week from the manufacturer in Alabama. Anybody seen any?

Something Perdue and Paul Bennecke and the GOP strategists need to get thru their thick skulls, BEFORE its to late. EVEN if the Perdue flag wins the referendum, nothing changes, the supporters of the 56 flag vow that the 100,000 SONNY LIED signs are still going to go up. Im also hearing that the 100,000 PUNT PERDUE in 06 oversize bumper stickers will arrive soon. Anybody ever see those SKYDIVE bumper stickers stuck all over everything across the state. Yep, thats the plan!

Thanks, editor@GPU
