Information about Georgia Flag

House of Lords, Legislative Update and increasing influence ...

A few months ago we reported that the The House of Lords opens 2003 Session ... in Georgia. The House of Lords is the non-elected purveyors of corporate influence in our State government, working to dilute and diminish the representation of the People.

Based upon the principles established by Our Founding Fathers, the elected officials of the State Government, especially the State House, State Senate and Governor are elected to represent the People. The House of Lords exists to assert the influence of large corporations, even if it is contrary to the will of the citizens of Georgia.

In the 2003 Legislative Session, we have seen the continuation of the influence of the House of Lords under a new administration. A New Day in Georgia, has amounted to no more than the daily sunrise.

The Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, one very active committee of the HouseGeorgia Flag of Lords has even gloated on their web-site about the great success that they had with the New Day in Georgia Administration. Lets take a look at their top priority legislative issue of 2003:

The Metro Atlanta Chamber won about three-fourths of its agenda, most critically the flag. Given a new Governor and new
legislative leadership, this was a great achievement. Following is a summary:

There is no question that the citizens of Georgia have expressed their desire to vote on Our TRUE State Flag. But the House of Lords has decided that they do not care, and that the people do not deserve the right to vote.

During the Session, they used their influence to work diligently to force their view on the very people elected to represent the citizens. In their own words:

Special thanks to Arthur Blank, John Rice, Allen Franklin, Mike Eskew, Duane Ackerman and David Ratcliffe, as well as Georgia Power, Turner Broadcasting, SunTrust, Atlanta Gas Light, Wachovia and GE Power Systems for loaning their lobbyists. We can all be proud of this effort.

One active participant was Senator Balfour, recipient of the May, Hypocrite of the Month award. Senator Balfour is an executive at Waffle House.

The saga continues:

Waffle House President and CEO Joe Rogers Jr. has been appointed co-chairman of the new Commission for a New Georgia.

The following is an excerpt from the Atlanta Journal:

It'll be interesting how much we hear from Waffle House President and CEO Joe Rogers Jr. in his role as co-chairman of the new Commission for a New Georgia.

A major player in state Republican politics for a decade or so, Rogers has been mentioned from time to time as a possible candidate for a big statewide race.

Whether he has much to say or not, Rogers' appointment to this high-profile, big-vision commission looks like a down payment by Gov. Sonny Perdue on his pledge to the GOP faithful, that many of the hundreds of appointments he'll make in the next few months will be earmarked for them.

So the House of Lords continues it march to diminish the representation of the citizens of Georgia. Our much touted, "New Day in Georgia" has quickly become just another opportunity for the House of Lords, using your money to force their agenda upon you.

Of course if you are satisfied with this style of government. If you do not care about the loss of Our Founding Principles, then you do not need to do anything. The politically correct, liberal media and House of Lords know what is best for you and will take care of you! You can even continue spending your money at companies like Coke, Waffle House and Home Depot. That way you can literally claim that you support the best government that your money can buy!

On the other hand, if you are tired of this style of government, you can get prepared to retire many of these elected officials in next years elections. Yes, the House of Lords was successful, so far, in denying the people the right to vote on our Georgia State Flag, but they can not stop you from voting in the elections next year, nor from sending a message to the House of Lords.

It is your choice. If you would like to receive our reports on the state government and be on the list to receive our 2004 voter guides, click here.

In the meantime, congratulate Governor Purdue for supporting:

The Metro Atlanta Chamber won about three-fourths of its agenda, most critically the flag
