Georgia Heritage Council November 12, 2003 ACTIVISM SEMINAR ANNOUNCEMENT - AUGUSTA November 15
We will hold an Activist Seminar at the
Warren Road Community Center on 300 Warren Road across
the street from the Warren Road Elementary School on Saturday,
November 15th. The hours of the Seminar will be from
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. (We
would have started earlier, but the Warren Road Community Center doesn't
open until 10:00 a.m. on Saturdays.)
This Activist Seminar is for
everybody! It's not just for men defending their Southern
heritage, but for women and children, too, that would like to get involved
and learn how to become political activists (flaggers) that can be
instrumental in defeating anti-Southern politically correct politicians
that want to eradicate Southern culture and history from our Southland.
What will be discussed at the
Seminar?
We will split it up into two parts...half on flagging and half on local, regional and state political fights. Part I...for the flagging we would cover the history....its start, development, various tactics, effects...evolving tactics...press, local people, and politicians' responses. Video material would cover about half of this, and it would be fast paced. Part II...Political battles...a quick overview of how we got to where we are now...without getting too sidetracked on the blow by blow...but focusing on what we did wrong and what we did right...where our strengths and weaknesses are. We have to recognize what is wrong before people can be motivated to fix it. Jeff Davis will be a key information source here. We will cover what those in the field are currently doing, their rough goals and strategies....and what we think we need to do to leverage that work. The last part would be to review a target list that is now being developed, of political races where a swing voting group could win a race. We will be going over all the voting demographics of these target races, and will supply info pertinent to the geographic area of the seminar.
