VOTE on November 4! There will be a Special Election in House District 8 on November 4, 2003. The Georgia Heritage Council endorses and urges our members to support Kurt Cannon in this election. Kurt completely supports the platform of the Georgia Heritage Council, including supporting legislation to include the 56 flag in a referendum next year. Kurt comes from a North Georgia family that originally settled in the hills in the 1700's and is familiar with the Heritage of Our Great State. District 8 is comprised of Rabun, Towns, Union and the upper half of White County. If you live in these counties, or know friends or family in these counties, then we encourage you to spread the word and work for the election of Kurt Cannon. Remember, the citizens of Georgia were denied the right to Vote on Our State Flag by "one" vote in the State House. Every election is of the utmost importance. In addition when the Legislature reconvenes in January, the gun control freaks will be pushing their stealth trigger lock bill, SB-1 in the Georgia House. Kurt Cannon will be a vote against SB-1 or any other liberal anti-2nd Amendment bill that comes along. As with most Special Elections the voter turnout is expected to be low. This makes your vote and those of your family, friends and associates even more important. Please take the time to forward this to those in the district, your family and friends.
