Georgia Republican event in Ringgold flagged ...

Last week your Rebmaster just happened to be driving down Battleground Parkway and stopped in at the Colonades. The timing was great, got there just before guests started arriving for a fairly expensiveGeorgia Republicans flagged with Georgia State Flag Georgia Republican supper.

Since I did not have enough money to buy one of these expensive suppers, just grabbed the handy dandy chicken suit from the back suit and joined the festivities. It was not very long before Georgia State Flags and chickens were all over the place. A perfect welcome for the soon to be arriving Republicans.

Afterall, 75% of the elected Georgia Republicans supported the very American principle of letting the people vote on the Georgia State Flag. Georgia State Flag supporters were responsible for electing the first Georgia Republican governor since Reconstruction and eliminating the expected benefits of the Democratic redistricting. We figured that it would be very interesting to see how these fairly well off Georgia Republicans expressed their appreciation for our support last year.

For the most part the arriving guests were friendly, some stopped by to chat a bit and one of my State Reps even recognized me in the chicken suit. But there was another side to the Georgia Republicans attending also:

Georgia Republicans flagged with georgia state flagThe most arrogant and quite literally hostile babbling idiot was Mr. Jay Neal. Some may remember this man who ran for House District 1 and lost to flag supporter Mike Snow, over and over again. Saying he was loud and obnoxious would be a compliment. Was interesting how he lied, standing there loudly telling everybody that Sonny did not say what everybody in the State knows he said. He also kept getting his wallet out and offering a $100.00, then when his questions were answered responding with an insult and putting his wallet up. This man needs a counseling session with his pastor and I would suggest that they should study Chronicles II 7:14. Humble is not in his vocabulary and lying and gambling seem to be an obsession.

Another short and somewhat chubby man stopped by and began yelling about Iraq. HeGeorgia Republicans flagged with Georgia State Flag seems to believe that anyone who dares question Georgia Republicans on any issue are the hired guns of Saddam. But he also thought that Sonny was up for election next year, so you can tell that he is very well informed. I asked him about the seven Republican Alabama associate judges who removed Judge Moore and he yelled that I should go to Iraq. I asked him about the 7 GOP appointed Supreme Court justices and he yelled that I should go to Iraq.

With the exception of Herman Cain, most of the big name Georgia Republicans no showed. Overall I was disappointed in the Georgia Republicans. They have been presented with an unexpected opportunity to govern in Georgia and for the most part they are beginning to act the same as the Democrats did. Party over Principle. Shame, Shame, Shame.

But while the Georgia Republicans are slow in smelling the coffee, they are only hurting themselves. The response across the State is growing. More yard signs are coming, more Activism Seminars are being scheduled and even more Sonny "Chicken Little" Perdue suits are ready.

How many corrupt and politically correct politicians have to be retired before the People of Georgia get to vote? To be determined!

Anyway, flagging reports follow:

 Report By Elijah Coleman

Gentlemen,

Today and tonight a huge gathering of  N. Georgia Republicans gathered at the Colonade in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia with their $250.00/plate sponsors.   They  let us heritage soldiers know up front that we were welcome in this flag friendly territory.  However, we did not see Perdue The Liar enter this grand gathering opportunity  to proliferate his BS.   Therefore, since this is at least the sixth flagged event he has failed to show up, we must be getting to him.   He certainly hasn't forgotten the flaggin' he received from us this Tuesday in Bremen, GA.

The police were just perfect  in giving us our freedom, and appeared to be in support of the Peoples' Georgia State flag. Channel 9 TV in Chattanooga covered our colorful Perdue The Liar protest for about an hour.   Coming up the street to the Colonade, there were Georgia flag poles lining the street, also there were "Sonny Lied" signs spread out and 5 poles with Foghorn Leghorns on top with signs such as:   Perdue Is Another Barnes,  One RAT Gone, One CHICKEN Going,  Perdue -- Spineless and Fowl.   When the cars approached the entrance, they saw Georgia flag supporters everywhere.   Even children were on the line repeating "Sonny Lied" to each car.   I was so glad to see so many Georgia flag supporters waving our flags, including Rodney Waller, Jimmy Rogers, Bill Oliver and about four young flag wavers,  Mike Crane and friend, Lum Phillips, and Bruce Lyle with me.  It was great to have the TV crew out filming this flaggin' while all the wealthy contributors were arriving.   They know the Georgia flag issue is very much alive.

So although we didn't get the 43rd Perdue the Liar flaggin' today, we were very successful in getting our fight on the TV news with our flags surrounding the background and in getting our message to these wealthiest families in N. W. Georgia.   We couldn't buy this prime time coverage.  Bruce and I enjoyed every minute of it and discussed it on the way back to the Hellanta area.   Join us next time.

Protesters Shake Their Flags at Governor Perdue

Story by Jenny Hoff on Fri, Nov 7th 2003 (4:03 PM)

Elijah Coleman was glad the rain stopped in Georgia, but says he would have showed up for Republican Governor Sonny Perdue's scheduled appearance at the Georgia Republican gathering... rain or shine.

That's because he's on a mission.

"Our main goal is to educate the public about who the turncoats are and who the enemies are," says Coleman.

Coleman is part of a group that calls themselves the "flaggers." They say Republican Governor Perdue promised a vote to allow the old confederate state flag back in Georgia... but never delivered on his word. So, Coleman and his fellow flaggers are following Governor Perdue.

The flaggers say they have flagged Perdue 42 times, it would have been the 43rd time if the governor had shown up.

Coleman argues the confederate flag represents Southern heritage, not slavery.

"The U.S.A. flag flew for 89 years over slavery, it flew over the slave ships that brought the slaves over here, so why would this one be more offensive to anybody than the U.S flag," he says.

But, politicians who attended the gathering at the Colonnade say the protester's priorities are out of order.

Bill Adams, with the 10th district Republican party argues, "There's a time and a place for everything without having to make an idiot of yourself. they should go to Iraq and defend their country the right way, then they'll know what to protest about."

But, Coleman says he's anxious for the next flagging of Governor Perdue.

The Governor couldn't be reached for comment, but Georgia Republican politicians who attended the meeting at the Colonnade say the protesters won't effect whether Perdue gets re-elected in 2003.
