The following is a recent statement from the Southern National Congress on the Second Amendment by Thomas Moore. The Second Southern National Congress will be held, September 11-13, 2009.

We will have four lectures on Saturday with a “Round Table” type Question and Answer session to wrap things up. We will have a “dutch” Supper program on Friday night for anyone wishing to attend. We will meet in a reserved room at Shoney’s Restaurant  (next to the conference center) at 7:00pm.

The statue of Jefferson Davis and his two sons, Joe and Jim Limber, is nearing completion and will be placed at Beauvoir, the last home of the Confederate President, on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast. Today there is a growing chorus of American citizens who are asking the question: “What is happening to our country?” One does not have to look very far before they see something that just doesn’t make sense. In fact many Americans do not have to look very far before they see something that is just plain stupid! How many American citizens stare in disbelief as I did for many years and say?

April 12, 2009, is the 147th anniversary of the "Great Locomotive Chase" that made "The General" famous. Jefferson Cain, an employee of the Western and Atlantic Railroad, was Engineer of The General. At 4:15 on the morning of April 12, 1862, Cain pushed the throttle of The General and drove the engine out of Atlanta, Georgia for Chattanooga, Tennessee as a cool spring rain fell on the city.

The 8th National Confederate Memorial Services will be held Saturday April 4, 2009 on the lawn in front of the World’s largest Confederate Memorial at Stone Mountain Memorial Park Stone Mountain, Georgia.

April is an important month in America's history. The Great Locomotive Chase, where Union spies attempted to steal the Confederate Locomotive "The General" and destroy rail lines and bridges, took place on April 12, 1862. The month of April has become to be known as Confederate History and Heritage Month when proclamations will be signed by Governors, Commissioners and Mayors.

Do you agree with people like Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, who treat the Second Amendment as if it were written only to protect your ability to go hunting and target shooting? Or do you agree with Gun Owners of America, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, who believe that the Second Amendment protects a pre-existing fundamental right that is essential to the preservation of liberty?

Here we go again. The Legislature increases government revenue - a.k.a MORE TAXES - and tried to tell you that you are getting a bargain! So the folks pay more, so the out of touch elected officials can spend more.

The Georgia League of the South Annual State meeting will be held March 14 in Forsyth. An excellent opportunity to hear some great speakers.

The 2009 Georgia Legislature is going to great lengths to find ways to increase their revenue (a.k.a. taxes), while remaining "Revenue Neutral." Does this qualify for a Duh! award?

The issue of illegal immigration is of course one that brings much controversy. However the law is clear and the negative effects are undeniable. One such example of the negative effects that has long term implications is included below concerning drug crime in Atlanta.

By a resounding vote of 62 to 36 last week, the U.S. Senate has approved an amendment, offered by Senator John Ensign of Nevada, to repeal the D.C. gun ban.

Rome, GA; February 10, 2009.  On behalf of the fourteen State Delegations to the Southern National Congress (SNC), the SNC Board of Governors announced today its strong opposition to the stimulus-and-bailout bills now making their way through the U.S. Congress. 

As you watch the march of big government and socialism in our land today, it is obvious that something is wrong. The Principles upon which our country was founded are literally disappearing in front of our eyes.

            NEW ORLEANS – SLRC Chief Trial Counsel Kirk D. Lyons presented the case of two Burleson, TX, high school students, who were suspended for carrying Confederate flag-pattern purses to school, to the Fifth U. S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday (Feb. 4).

Now...thankfully, Judge Roy Moore has afforded us the ground floor of the building where the offices of The Foundation for Moral Law are.  This is the old Central Bank Building located at One Dexter Avenue, Montgomery, Alabama.  This is the first bank that President Jefferson Davis went to seeking funds for the Confederacy in 1861.  So I am very pleased that we will be meeting in a building that is truly historic to the BIRTH OF A NATION! So this year, we are combining celebrations/commemorations....
