Your Money is Stealing Your Flag ...
As documented in the Atlanta Journal the large multi-national corporations actively lobbied then governor, Roy
Barnes to remove Our State Flag. The following article provides information from the campaign reports which are a matter of public
record.
This un-elected body has much greater influence on our State government than is commonly known. In effect,
these corporations are using your money to influence your State government in ways that you would not approve. This is not just a
Georgia problem. Those that live in other States, your money is also being used to steal Our Flag and Heritage and it is probably
going on in your State also.
In 2000, Downtown Atlanta Business types went to the governor, insisting that the state flag be changed for the sake of the Final Four, national
respectability and their deals with Jesse Jackson.
Barnes balked, pointing out the vulnerability of the legislators he'd need to back him. The business types promised they'd be there for those lawmakers in 2002.
An so another piece of the most open act of political corruption since Reconstruction fell into place.
And so the Georgia Business PAC was created in 2001 to provide campaign funds for those who voted with Barnes. Harold
Bevis, Delta Air Lines' vice president of public affairs, sits at its head. As of
October 25, 2002 the group had raised $155,000.
The following companies contributed these funds:

Coca-Cola, Home Depot and Delta all have Southern roots and have prospered due to our support. I
have patronized all three, Coke for my whole life. But I am now disgusted with these companies.

Now comes the question of the day. They were successful in 2001, Barnes & those who supported his corrupt practices. But Barnes, 10 corrupt Senators and 26 corrupt Representatives are gone despite their money. What
are they doing now to prevent restoring Our Flag now?
We can do something about this perverted influence on our government.
The following petition will be delivered to each member of the Coca-Cola Company, Board of Directors as a first step in
pressuring Coke to get out of politics. If needed we are planning to carry the effort to their 2004 stockholders meeting. For more
information check the Boycott Scalla-Cola web-site. Please consider
signing the following petition:
