More examples of the abuse of YOUR money ... As we prepare to send the petitions to Coke once again, there are additional examples of how these corporations are abusing both YOUR patronage and YOUR money. As most are aware we have an effort in Georgia underway to get a FAIR Vote on Our State Flag instead of the rigged referendum that we are facing. In last years Legislative Session a FAIR Vote was stolen on the last day of the Legislature and the Atlanta Chamber arrogantly bragged about their success. Desecrating Southern Heritage was listed as their most critical issue and they bragged about their influence with the governor and Legislature. Well they are continuing without pause. While this is occurring very rapidly and details are hard to come by, the following two events have come to our attention in the last few days:
On item one - by the time we make formal requests, so that this can be documented, the referendum will be passed. On the second - the only way to confirm will be to pull campaign finance reports later this year, also after the referendum has passed. But the point is, using YOUR patronage and money to stifle a respectable position is just another example of the unholy influence corporations have on our local, State and federal governments. It will be interesting for those in other States to begin looking at the actions of these large corporations in your area. We would be very surprised to find that Georgia is the only area that they are influencing. This message to Coke becomes even more important. Somewhere this unholy influence has to be broken.
