| November 7 About More Than Candidates: the Eminent Domain Amendment Georgians have a little left from what our Founders gave us.
Sadly, much of our inheritance has been frittered away by
politicians who claim to be conservative protectors of the
Constitution they declared to protect and preserve.

| | Eminent Domain Abuse and your Vote on July 18 Many Georgians are concerned about abuse of the power of
Eminent Domain. Many Georgians also have been led to believe that
the Constitutional Amendment on the ballot for November will protect
their property rights.
However, the Amendment contains a loophole that can threaten
your property rights in the future.

| | Question asked: Why do we have such a poor Eminent Domain amendment? As soon as the distribution of the previous article on our
November amendment started we received many questions asking why
such a bill was passed in the Legislature. Since we do not yet have
our own Southern Party members elected to that body we can only make
assumptions based upon facts.

| | Eminent Domain Constitutional Amendment in November? Lip Service Only! Eminent Domain – or rather government abuse of eminent domain
powers is a major issue this year. While this problem has been with
us for many years it reached national prominence with the recent
Supreme Court decision, providing federal protection for State and
local government abuse of eminent domain powers.

We
hope that all have received a copy of the first issue of our
newspaper, "A Real Choice", if not give us a call - 877-903-0996
and we will send you one while they last. It
was produced in quantity 5,000 and all but the last hundred
have been distributed by a combination of direct mail, personal
contact and through various Southern organizations and Companies.
The response to date has been very positive. For once, no one has
called this "preaching to the choir."
The following is one of
the articles from Issue 2, providing you with information on how
you, the citizens of Georgia, can take local action to protect
your property rights.

| | Breaking News: Eminent Domain Court Victory in Stockbridge Just received the following good news. Private Property
Rights in Georgia won a major court case in Stockbridge. More
details to follow as they are available:
The Southern Party of Georgia was honored to be invited to a
Forum on Eminent Domain and Private Property Rights. The Georgia
League of the South issued invitations to the Georgia Republican,
Democratic, Southern, Libertarian and Constitution Parties to
participate.
All but the Republican Party sent a representative to provide
educational information for the citizens of Georgia on this very
important issue. The Republican Party did not even acknowledge
receipt of the written invitations. The Southern Party was
represented by our State Senate Candidate, Mike Crane.

| | Georgia Citizens are getting lip service on eminent domain and property rights in HB-1313 When our Founding Fathers created the Constitution of 1787
they used the term public to define for what purposes government
could exercise "eminent domain." Eminent domain is of course the
power of the government (federal, State and local) to seize a
citizen's property against their will.

| | Partial List of Eminent Domain bills in Georgia Legislature In the box below you will find a partial list of the various
eminent domain bills in the Georgia Legislature. While it is

on.

| | Eminent Domain - A gapping loophole and abuse Eminent domain is the power of government to seize - against
their will - the property of citizens for public use. The original
intent of this power was to build public facilities; ie. roads,
bridges, buildings, etc.

| | Legislative Alert: HB-1091 First Refusal rights on transfer of seized property from eminent domain As expected this year's Legislature has a bumper crop of bills
associated with eminent domain, the power of the government to
forcibly and without your consent seize your property. In our view
the only bills that should be supported are bills that close one or
more of the loopholes that allow abuse by the government - or - that
provide protections to the citizens.

| | Eminent Domain - Watch out for SB-414 Expect a rash of bills associated with eminent domain powers
during this Legislative Session and be wary of them. There are four
clauses in the Georgia Constitution that provide the wording that
allows seizure of your property for "private use" and any bill that
does not close one or more of these loopholes is just "lip service."

| | Southern Party candidate endorses HR 87 on Eminent Domain The solution is to clarify the wording in
the Georgia Constitution to protect your property from those elected
and appointed officials who do not understand “not private” and
pander to special interests. The wording in the Constitution has to
be clarified or improved to prevent the Legislature from enacting
laws which further erode your property rights of the citizens and
activist judges from using "fuzzy logic" to unduly violate citizens
property rights.
