Pam Davidson supports the Georgia State flag. Her opponent, Hinton “Amos” Amerson (R), says that he is “undecided” because the State flag is “less than 50 years old.” This is an argument commonly used by those who want to change the State flag.

Ralph Twiggs supports the Georgia State flag. Mr. Twiggs also sponsored HB 189 to prevent regulation of gun shows or registration of firearms. His opponent, Billy Johnson (R), wants to change the state flag

Steve Harris supports the Georgia State flag. Steve Harris says, "I will fight to keep our flag as is. I am proud of the southern heritage that it stands for. That flag is a symbol, and to allow it to be degraded or dishonored is to allow the same fate to our heritage." His opponent, Bill Cummings (D), is wishy-washy in regards to his opinion of the Georgia State flag and has said that he is for a referendum.

Earl Ehrhart says, “I support the current state flag. Any attempt to change it is based solely on politics and not substance.” Ehrhart also sponsored HB 191, a bill that would abolish the income tax. His opponent, Vic Yankouski (D), wants to change the state flag.

Bobby Reese supports the Georgia State flag. Mr. Reese also sponsored HB 1480, which would provide tax relief for homeowners. His opponent, David Imbody (D), wants to change the State flag.

Charles Neely supports the Georgia State flag. His opponent, the incumbent Carl Von Epps (D), sponsored HB 1723 to change the Georgia State flag. Von Epps also sponsored HR 99 to invite several opponents of the Georgia State flag to appear before the House.

Dale Younger says that efforts to change the Georgia State flag are “ridiculous.” His opponent, the incumbent Regina Thomas (D) wants to change the state flag. Thomas sponsored SR 106, a resolution honoring Jesse Jackson, who opposes the State flag.

D.L. Johnson supports the Georgia State flag. Johnson’s opponent, the incumbent Charles Walker (D), wants to change the State flag. Walker sponsored SB 224, a bill that would have declared that a civil rights museum is an official state symbol of Georgia.
