Bad news for Georgia:

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said recently it has about 45 agents assigned to enforce immigration laws in Georgia, a state with an estimated 228,000 illegal immigrants.

Once again we see the effects of elected officials who shirk their sworn duty to protect the Constitution and represent their constituents. In the case of the current President, he has abandoned the Constitutionally delegated power to protect our borders and to protect the interests of all American citizens.

To openly flaunt his disregard for the already too liberal immigration laws and propose to grant amnesty to those who have violated the law has already produced negative results. The immigration laws are being violated MORE not LESS as he stated.

Immigration is out of control in our country and our elected officials are lying to the People. Note: this is an immigration not immigrant problem. One problem is the RATE of immigration, both legal and illegal, not individual immigrants. The rate is just plain too high.

The second problem is that many of our elected officials are using immigration to achieve personal agendas and are abandoning their sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution and represent their constituents. They are instead pandering to political correctness and special interests.

Over and over we hear the same ole politically correct theme, "immigrants only take jobs that Americans will not do ..." Of course the politically correct are the same people who bring you searches of 80 year old grandmothers so that Moslem males are offended and a man losing his job for telling a female that her ear-rings look nice. Ridiculous stuff.

Political correctness run amok will destroy this great country if it is not reigned in.

If George Bush’s amnesty for between 8 million and 14 million illegal aliens is enacted, you can kiss the old America goodbye.

Consider what the president is saying with his amnesty. He is telling us that he cannot or will not do his constitutional duty to defend the states from invasion. He is saying that he simply cannot or will not protect our borders or enforce our immigration laws. He is saying he will no longer send illegal aliens back.

The Following article presents another view dissenting from the Bush sellout. But even it misses the mark. Not only is the current amnesty plan proposed by Bush wrong, so is the whole immigration situation.

Yes illegal immigration is too high. The rates are staggering, estimates are from 8 - 12 million since the last amnesty program which was supposed to solve the problem. It obviously did not, in fact it seems to have made it worse. The same thing will happen with Bush's plan - it will not solve the problem - it will make it worse.

It was just a couple of weeks ago that Homeland Security gruru Tom Ridge said that the Bush Administration was going to look into how to deal with the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country. Lets see what was the political double speak that Tom Ridge used:

"... we do need to legalize illegals."

He made a real effort to imply that the Bush Administration was taking a serious look at the best way to deal with this problem. Well such an impression is as fake as the turkey that Bush televised from Baghdad on Thanksgiving.

Now what in the blazes does it mean when the Administration's new Mega Branch of Government Secretary says that we should legalize 8 to 12 million illegals?
